Obsrvr Time Tracker / Software teams
Time tracking for a software team.
Obsrvr Time Tracker is for a small software team that needs the hours, not a recording of the screen. It is published by Obidos Technologies at obsrvr.app.
How a delivery team usually sets it up.
Put people in departments. Put the work on projects, and put projects on a client when the hours will be explained to someone outside the team. Each person starts and stops a timer. If someone later changes the time or the note, that edit stays in the history, so a timesheet argument has something to look at.
People in different time zones set their own zone. The dashboard shows who is active, who is idle, and who has not signed in. You can leave a display login on a screen in the office. Idle time can raise a sound or a push notification after a number of minutes you choose.
What we don’t pretend to be.
There is no GitHub, Jira, or Slack connection today. Obidos ERP is the integration in limited preview, and more tools are being connected. There is no native app. Engineers use the browser they already have.
We also don’t take screenshots or log keystrokes, and we don’t record which apps or websites were open.
